Volunteer Work
Remember the scene in Akira Kurosawa's '7 Samurai' where the samurai give their bowls of rice back to the people they are protecting? Well, we give back too.
As a non-profit society and community of learners, the Calgary Iaido Club is committed to increasing its capacity to give to society. As our club matures, so does our ability to help others. In the past four years of our short history the club has volunteered/participated in the following events:
- The Calgary Interfaith Foodbank
- The Salvation Army Children's Village Annual Fall Fair
- The CIBC Run for the Cure
- Forzani's Mother's Day Walk
We will continue to support the greater community around us and look forward to further our volunteer work in 2008. Our next few events will be taking place at the Calgary Interfaith Foodbank on the following dates:
- May 27th, 2008
- July 15th, 2008
- September 2nd, 2008
- November 4th, 2008
- January 20th, 2009
- March 3rd, 2009
Please check the event page for more details.
